WorldEurope wildfires force more than 250,000 people to flee

Fast-moving wildfires across parts of France and Spain have forced more than 250,000 people to leave their homes and holiday resorts. Evacuations in France’s Gironde and on the Cap Ferret peninsula included residents of nursing homes. Crews worked through the night to protect property as the fires spread. In Spain, bulldozers carved firebreaks to slow blazes advancing towards Madrid.
