World270,000 forced to flee raging wildfires in France and Spain

Wildfires raging for days in France and Spain have forced about 270,000 people to leave their homes. Strong winds and high temperatures are hampering efforts to bring the fires under control. Around 200,000 people have been evacuated in France’s south-western Gironde and Landes regions. France has mobilised its military, sending additional army personnel to help firefighters clear brush and create firebreaks.
