WorldEU sanctions Russian social network VK and state-backed messaging app Max

The European Union has widened its sanctions against Russia. The bloc added VK, described as Russia’s dominant social media company, to the measures. Its subsidiary Kommunikatsionnaya Platforma was also included. The investment firm developed Max, a state-backed national messaging app, according to the EU’s official journal.
