WorldFrance grants Ukraine license to produce missiles, air defense

French President Emmanuel Macron said on July 13 that France would allow Ukraine to manufacture missiles and air-defense systems designed by France. The decision marks the first time France has licensed weapons production in Ukraine. It would enable Ukrainian production of the French-designed weapons on its own territory. Macron presented the move as a new step in defense cooperation between the two countries.
