PoliticsEU agrees to extend protection for Ukrainians but excludes potential conscripts
The European Union has agreed to extend temporary protection for Ukrainians. However, the agreement also says that new applicants who are not complying with their military obligations in Ukraine will not receive that protection. The decision links access for new applicants to whether they are fulfilling those obligations. It therefore creates an exclusion for potential conscripts who do not comply with Ukraine’s military requirements.
