WorldTyphoon Noul forms, expected to make landfall in southern China
China’s meteorological authority said Friday that a tropical depression east of the Philippines has strengthened into the year’s 12th typhoon. The storm, named Noul, is forecast to reach the coast of Guangdong and Fujian provinces on Saturday night or early Sunday. Its projected path places southern China in the focus of the approaching weather system. Officials identified the expected landfall area along the two provincial coastlines.
