Typhoon Noul, this year’s 12th storm, made landfall on Guangdong’s eastern coast early on July 26 after more than 710,000 people were evacuated. It is expected to move northward, bringing strong winds and heavy rain to Guangdong, Jiangxi, Hunan and Hubei, with risks of floods, landslides and urban waterlogging. Transport and flights in Guangdong and Hong Kong were disrupted.
