A powerful earthquake in south-west Japan has killed 13 people and left others trapped after part of the second floor of an Aeon shopping mall in Kumamoto collapsed. Eight people have been rescued. Roads, buildings and rail networks were damaged, while thousands evacuated as rescue teams searched the rubble.
