SportsUefa reacts with fury to Infantino World Cup investment plan
Fifa plans to invite minority investment from third parties in a new commercial subsidiary and increase football development funding to more than $10bn. Uefa says the proposal “crosses a line” that football’s governing institutions should never cross, while Andy Burnham says Fifa would have “sold out”. The plan still requires approval from Fifa’s 211 member associations.
