TechEU aims to build AI gigafactories of its own

The European Commission has launched a tender seeking more than €30 billion in public and private funding for seven AI gigafactories across the bloc. The plan is intended to expand Europe’s computing capacity and reduce its dependence on non-European governments and technology providers.
