SportsMountaineer Nirmal Purja killed in Pakistan avalanche

The body of renowned British-Nepali mountaineer Nirmal Purja has been recovered on Broad Peak in Pakistan, rescuers say. His company said he was among 10 people killed in an avalanche, while three other bodies were seen with identities still unconfirmed. Purja became famous for climbing the world’s 14 highest peaks in just over six months in 2019.
